A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from early Wednesday until late Wednesday morning for parts of central North Carolina, the National Weather Service said.
The advisory covers areas of Orange, Durham, Granville, Vance and Person counties in central North Carolina.
Person County Schools already announced they would be on a two-hour delay on Wednesday.
The National Weather service said accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are possible, mainly north of Interstate 85 and Interstate 40.
The advisory is in effect from 1 a.m. Wednesday until 11 a.m. Wednesday.
