FAIRMONT, N.C. (AP/WNCN) – North Carolina detectives are looking for a man suspected of trying to rob a home and leaving a dead woman behind.
The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a Fairmont home around 5:15 a.m. Sunday after an alarm went off.
Inside, they found 78-year-old Annie Grace Davis. Investigators believe she was killed by a robber.
Deputies describe the suspect as a man wearing a gray toboggan, Mossy Oak camouflage shirt, camouflage pants, brown boots and green mechanical or garden gloves with Velcro around the top.
The suspect left the home walking on Primrose Drive toward Hwy 130 East and Wiregrass Road, deputies said.
