Canes' Rask undergoes surgery after injury slicing food

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) - Carolina Hurricanes center Victor Rask underwent surgery Thursday after suffering an injury slicing food in his kitchen, according to a press release from the team.

The 25-year-old native of Sweden injured the fourth and fifth fingers on his right hand. The team said he's out indefinitely.

Rask had 14 goals and 17 assists for 31 points in 71 games last season.
