CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WNCN) – The Carolina Panthers open and close the regular season at home and will play a game in London this upcoming season.
The Panthers will open the season with two home games featuring a quick turnaround. They first host the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Sept. 8 before welcoming the Tampa Bay Buccanneers on Thursday, Sept. 12.
Carolina will then have a home game against Jacksonville on Sunday, Oct. 6 before heading overseas to play Tampa Bay again in London in the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. That Sunday, Oct. 13 encounter is set to kickoff at 9:30 a.m.
That will take the Panthers into their bye week. They’ll alternate home and away games from there on out, beginning with a trip to San Francisco.
Week 2 is Carolina’s only game on a Thursday. They’re scheduled to have nine-straight 1 p.m. kickoffs from Week 9 through the end of the regular season.
The Panthers will open the preseason on Thursday, Aug. 8 at Chicago. They’ll play the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots in the preseason, but not in the regular season.
