CBS to air classic NCAA games from NC State, Duke and UNC

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Without the NCAA Tournament this year, CBS is looking to provide buzzer beaters and upsets to help fill the void.

On Saturday, CBS will air three classic college basketball games with Tobacco Road connections.

At noon, Michael Jordan and North Carolina battle Georgetown for the 1982 NCAA National Championship.

Dean Smith cuts down the nets for this first national title.

At 2 p.m., the Cardiac Pack takes on Phi Slama Jama in the 1983 NCAA title game in Houston.

Jim Valvano leads N.C. State to their last-second victory over Houston.

Then at 4 p.m., relive the thrilling end of Duke vs. Kentucky in the 1992 NCAA Tournament regional finals.

Watch Christian Laettner’s legendary shot in overtime that gave the Blue Devils a 104-103 victory over the Wildcats.
