DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – Zion Williamson will not play Tuesday against Wake Forest, according to a press release from Duke.
The freshman suffered a Grade 1 sprain in his right knee in the opening minute of the Blue Devils’ clash with rival North Carolina on Feb. 20.
Williamson is second in the Atlantic Coast Conference with 21.6 points per game and third in rebounds with 8.8 on average, the release said. He also leads the conference in field-goal percentage (.683) and steals per game (2.2).
Duke hosts Wake Forest Tuesday at 7 p.m. before wrapping up the regular season in Chapel Hill on Saturday.
