Reddish helps No. 2 Duke overcome 23-point deficit in 71-69 win at No. 16 Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WNCN) – No. 2 Duke trailed Louisville by 23 with less than 10 minutes remaining in Tuesday’s game, but a surge spearheaded by Cam Reddish pushed the Blue Devils past the Cardinals, 71-69.

Cam Reddish’s 3-pointer cut the Cardinals’ lead to 66-64 with 3:01 to go, but Jordan Nwora answered with a trey of his own. Reddish then tied it at 69 apiece with 1:29 left.

It was Reddish again making a pair of free throws to give the Blue Devils the lead, 71-69, with 14 seconds left. 

Zion Williamson led all scorers with 27 points and had 12 rebounds for the double-double. Reddish added 22 and R.J. Barrett had 13. Duke got little else from the remainder of the squad.

Nwora led the 16th-ranked Cardinals with 23 points. he also hauled in 12 rebounds for the double-double.

Duke moves on to host North Carolina State Saturday before welcoming North Carolina to Durham next week.
