ECU pauses basketball program after positive COVID-19 test; 2 games postponed

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – East Carolina paused all basketball activities after a positive COVID-19 test, according to an announcement made Wednesday.

The Pirates’ games against Temple on Thursday and Saturday have been postponed, the team said.

ECU has lost seven of its last eight games, but the lone win was an 82-73 victory over No. 5 Houston.

No further information was released.
