RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) - Duke's win over Northwestern led to two Blue Devils being named ACC players of week while a N.C. State walk-on was also honored.
Duke's Daniel Jones was named the conference quarterback of the week after he completed 16 of 22 passes for 192 yards and three touchdowns in the Blue Devils' 21-7 win.
He left the game in the third quarter in what was later revealed to be a broken collarbone.
Jones is out indefinitely.
Duke senior linebacker Ben Humphreys tallied 15 tackles and helped keep Northwestern scoreless for the final 54:50 of the game.
Humphreys was named the week 2 conference linebacker of the week.
N.C. State redshirt freshman Thayer Thomas hauled in nine passes for 114 yards Saturday against Georgia State. The Wolfpack won 41-7.
Thomas' nine catches is the highest receiving total by a Wolfpack freshman since 2011.
He is a walk-on who played high school football at Heritage High School in Raleigh.
