RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Former University of Southern California linebacker Levi Jones is now playing for North Carolina State, according to the team’s official roster.
Jones appeared in 10 games as a backup inside linebacker his freshman season. He compiled 15 tackles (11 solo). He finished with 13 tackles (10 solo) in seven games this past year before being dismissed from the team in November. He had also been arrested last summer for public intoxication.
Jones, a four-star prospect according to 247Sports.com, had 20 offers out of high school. He ended up selecting the Trojans over Florida and Florida State. The Austin, Texas native is the son of three-time Super Bowl champion linebacker Robert Jones. His brothers Zay and Cayleb have both played in the NFL. Zay Jones currently plays for the Buffalo Bills.
It’s not immediately clear when Jones would be elligible to play.
