RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Kenny Cooper drove the lane and sent up a smooth floater to give Lipscomb the lead with four seconds left in a 94-93 win that knocked North Carolina State out of the NIT on Wednesday.

N.C. State led 47-38 at halftime. Lipscomb took its first lead of the second half thanks to Garrison Matthews’ 3-pointer almost seven minutes in.

The Bisons tied the game with 1:11 left on a dunk from Matthews. The Wolfpack countered with a Markell Johnson 3. Johnson’s layup gave N.C. State a 93-92 lead with eight seconds to play, but it couldn’t hold on.

Torin Dorn led the Wolfpack with 34 points. Johnson had 19 and C.J. Bryce added 10.

Matthews notched a game-best 44 for Lipscomb, which advances to play Wichita State on Tuesday in Madison Square Garden.
