RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – N.C. State basketball’s Eric Lockett has been reinstated to the team following the dismissal of an assault charge earlier in the month, the University’s Athletic Department said.
Lockett, a 6 foot 5, 193-pound guard from Warner Robins, Georgia, was booked into the Wake County Detention Center at 5 a.m. Feb. 14 on an assault on a female charge.
He was suspended from the team following his arrest.
That charge was dismissed March 1.
Fred Demarest with N.C. State Athletics said no disciplinary actions will be taken following a review of the case.
“With both the legal and campus reviews concluded, and based on information available to us at current time, Eric has been reinstated to the NC State men’s basketball program,” Demarest tweeted.
Inside Pack Sports reports Lockett will not play Wednesday against Clemson in the ACC Tournament.
