MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) —  In the final coaching poll of the college football season, Alabama head coach did not vote his team number one.

He gave that spot to Clemson and voted Alabama number two, according to today’s Amway Coaches Poll.

Alabama has been the clear No. 1 team by every poll including the college football standings.

The No. 1 Crimson Tide are set to face off in the college football playoffs against number four team Oklahoma.

Saban also made a case that Georgia was one of the four best teams ahead of the college football playoff announcement but voted the Bulldogs number five, behind Oklahoma.

Alabama escaped the Bulldogs Saturday night in the SEC Championship game.

Despite losing starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, the Crimson Tide came from behind to beat Georgia 35-28.
