In eight-man football action, St. David’s homecoming game featured a rivalry showdown with Arendell Parrott Academy. It was also a meeting between the top two eight-man teams in the state.
But, with a 60-22 thumping of the visiting Patriots, St. David’s left no doubts which team had the upper hand this year.
Tai Goode drew first blood with a 22-yard touchdown strike, but Parrott didn’t take long to answer. A reverse led to a 55-yard touchdown from Matthew Huntley.
The Warriors’ offense, led by Goode, proved far too much for the visitors to handle, though. The senior made seven trips to the end zone to spearhead the lopsided win.
