Wake Forest downs rival Heritage, 38-2

The Blitz

About five miles separate the two schools, but there was a lot more separating them on the gridiron. Wake Forest blew past nearby rival Heritage, 38-2, to preserve its undefeated record.

The Cougars turned the tide early when sophomore Kahlil Watson came down with an interception to put the ball in his offense’s hands. It wasn’t long before Keishmund Rodgers ran in from 20 yards out for the first score of the game.

Junior Maquel Haywood put his stamp on the game with a second-quarter touchdown that saw him hit the hole and erupt 61 yards to the house.
