CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WNCN) — When you’ve done something for so long at such a high level, it’s hard to let it go.

That had to be true for Roy Williams as he gave up coaching on April 1 after 33 seasons as a head coach, including 18 at North Carolina and three national championships.

His successor is Hubert Davis and though bittersweet, Williams seems ecstatic to watch him get to work.
