Road reopens after overturned tanker truck causes closure in Clayton

CLAYTON, N.C. (WNCN) – A section of Guy Road in Clayton reopened just after midnight Tuesday morning after a tanker overturned Monday afternoon, according to a press release from the Town of Clayton. 

The road reopened around 11:30 p.m., according to a Town of Clayton official.

No injuries and no leaks were reported, the release said. The truck overturned at the intersection of Guy and Winston roads.

Traffic had been blocked at Guy Road and U.S. 70, the release said.
