Orange County school officials said they were investigating after video surfaced Monday of a school bus driving through a flooded area.
The school system was initially on a two-hour delay on Monday, but later completely closed because of damage and flooding from Florence.
Diane Rabalis said her daughter captured video of the bus on Old N.C. 10 on Monday morning.
Rabalis then shared the video of the bus on Twitter.
“That is our bus, and we are investigating the matter. We will issue a statement soon,” Orange County Schools spokesman Seth Stephens said in an email to CBS 17.
It’s unclear if there were students on the bus at the time.
CBS 17 will update this story as it develops.
